The award is the highest tribute that the association of professionals can pay to a business, corporation or individual conducting commerce within the township boundaries of Palmer. It is intended to recognize significant physical improvement to existing properties, as well as new structures, which through the free-enterprise system in turn make an outstanding contribution to the business climate of the township.
This years Civic Trust recipient is the Party Warehouse. In the picture above Debbie Young presents Michelle Webb with her award.
When Bill and Michelle Webb purchased Party Warehouse in October of 2002, it was located in Rosemont Village on William Penn Highway. With their successful management, the business expanded they outgrew that location. In September of 2008, Bill and Michelle purchased the Hobby Hangout building on the corner of William Penn Hwy and Berkely Street.
Bill and Michelle updated the interior and made changes to suit their needs. New carpet was installed and fresh paint brightened the inside. (For you train enthusiasts, the huge train display from Hobby Hangout is still there and in working order.) Bill and Michelle changed the layout of the store to accommodate a quality party supply store which also offers stationary and invitations, holiday decor and unique gifts. It is a one stop source for all types of celebrations, from birthdays, retirement, holidays and wedding and baby showers.
Outside, the landscaping has been improved and the seasonal decorations give a preview of what can be found inside.
The colorful building and sign are a welcome sight to party planners.
We recognize these improvements with the Civic Trust Award and congratulate Bill and Michelle and Party Warehouse. We wish you continued success.
