The Civic Trust Award is given to recognize significant physical improvement to existing properties as well as new construction within Palmer Township.
Spectrum of Floors is located on William Penn Highway in the old Fuller Paper building. The 13,000 square foot building has been transformed in appearance, with an impressive new entrance to welcome you, a 4,000 square foot showroom that displays various types of flooring and a large warehouse.
Donna DeBenedetto started her career in her father’s flooring store when she was 14 years old. Spectrum Flooring, which was originally Skip’s Flooring, has provided residential and commercial flooring products and services to customers for over 40 years. The original store was opened and operated in New Jersey until Donna moved it to Greenwood Avenue in Palmer Township in 1995. Donna’s cousin, Bill Koch, was operating his own flooring store in NJ, and in 1997, he moved to Pennsylvania and the 2 businesses partnered up into Spectrum of Floors.
Their commercial business side is very successful, offering their expertise in flooring to Best Buy, Office Depot, New York Sports Clubs, Hotels, and many other retail chains. The retail side serves the entire Lehigh Valley area and is so strong that neither the current economy nor mortgage rates have adversely affected their business. All of their installers are experienced, well-trained craftsman schooled in the most current and up-to-date installation procedures.
We recognize Spectrum of Floors with a Civic Trust Award, for the improvements and renovations to an existing building.
